Group visitors can request guidance by appointment for education activities at the museum. The program can accommodate up to 72 people.   The Museum Shop has available for purchase Museum Guides, folk art and postcards, as well as books and Museum publications relating to the study of Japanese history.

Audio explanations about the themes and selected objects of the permanent exhibition (English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese) may be borrowed at the Information Desk for free of charge. There are 279 stops in Gallery 1 through Gallery 5.   For a break during or after your visit to the museum, the museum restaurant offers a full menu, along with panoramic views of Sakura Castle Park. Visitors are of course free to re-enter the museum after their meal.

LECTURE HALL   VIDEO BOOTHS
The lecture hall accommodates 260 people. Lectures are held in the afternoon of the second Saturday of every month as part of an ongoing "Rekihaku Lectures" program. Admission for lectures is free. In the VIDEO BOOTHS, visitors can listen to folk music from around Japan and view both exhibit video materials and the Folk Culture video series produced by Rekihaku.

LIBRARY   VISITOR'S LOUNGE
Rekihaku offers a general reading room for visitors with unanswered questions or a desire to look further into subjects raised by the exhibits. Roughly 4,000 titles are available, including historical dictionaries and general histories, as well as large-format art books and exhibition-specific references. There is also a Children's Corner with educational comics.   250-seat lounge on the lawn picnic ground. Reservations are not accepted.
