Japanese carpentry Tools that traveled to the Netherlands
August 1 through September 3
Joint researches of the carpenter tools collected by J Cock Blomhoff, van Overmeer Fisscher, and Von Siebold in the later part of Edo period have been made between Japan and the Netherlands.
Though these tools which have their origins sometimes in Edo period can hardly be seen today. They show the history of the interchange between Japan and the Netherlands directly.
This exhibition will commemorate the 400th anniversary of long-standing cultural-historical relations between these two countries.
